BHOPAL: The BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) has unanimously adopted the ‘Bhopal Declaration’ aimed at promoting cultural ties among the block’s member nations and other participating countries.
The ‘Bhopal Declaration’ marked the end of the three-day meeting of BRICS Culture Working Group here on Saturday.
Talking to the media, Union minister for culture and tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said that a well-structured series of meetings of BRICS Culture Working Group was organized under India’s BRICS chairmanship.
The extensive deliberations culminated in the 11th BRICS Culture Ministers’ Meeting in Bhopal on August eight, where the ‘Bhopal Declaration’ was unanimously adopted, he said.
Key features of the ‘Bhopal Declaration’ included enhancement of cooperation in cultural and creative industries, (CCI) and the creative economy.
