BENGALURU: A short audio-video clip of a conversation between Minister Madhu Bangarappa and State president of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) B.Y. Vijayendra went viral on Sunday in which Vijayendra claimed farmers in Bidadi region of Bengaluru South district have been reportedly availing compensation to part with their lands for the proposed Bidadi Township project. While the mic was on, it was when Madhu Bangarappa enquired Vijayendra about the padayatra launched by BJP-Janata Dal Secular against Bidadi Township project. Madhu Bangarappa of ruling Congress party represents Soraba Assembly in Shivamogga and Vijayendra is the MLA of Shikaripura also in the same district. Reacting to it, Vijayendra stated “Farmers taking part in the padayatra are availing compensation to give away their lands.”
