After Émilien Pitre was involved in the Freddy Peralta trade last Sunday, two more names could be called up to the majors in the coming weeks. Cienfuegos isn't the only one seeing the glimmer of major league baseball on the horizon, however, as pitcher Cédric De Granpré was promoted to Triple-A in the Atlanta Braves' farm system two weeks ago. The Saint-Simon-de-Bagot native began the season at Class A-Fort before moving up to Class AA, which is a remarkable progression. The 24-year-old currently has a 5.00 earned run average in two AAA appearances so far, including one as a starter. These two players will be ones to watch, especially starting September 1, when Major League Baseball teams will be able to expand their rosters from 26 to 28 players, including 14 pitchers.
