So when Hoffman started throwing around phrases like “one of the best films I’ve ever seen”, it wasn’t coming from somebody dazzled by reputation. Calling it “one of the best films I’ve ever seen,” Hoffman declared to Esquire that he “will fight to the death with anyone who says otherwise.”
