Two young people have spoken of their joy after taking part in the Tall Ships Races onboard the Swan. Annika Laurenson and Ollie Jamieson are two budding seafarers who joined the sail training vessel for the trip of a lifetime. The vessel ended up retiring from the race and sailing back to Lerwick due to concerns about anticipated sea conditions. Highlights include hearing a chorus of Happy Birthday being sung to her from crews aboard a long line of sailing ships berthed near Aalborg. They said it was a really good experience, but challenging.
