Will Rixon, from Stapleford, was walking with his children at Fen Drayton Lakes on Sunday (August 9) when he made the shock discovery. "It has been quite an adventurous morning," Mr Rixon said as he recounted the events leading up to the device's discovery. "I saw it and, stupidly just being curious, I just pulled it out of the ground. Situated close to Fen Drayton, Holywell and Swavesey, the nature reserve was formerly a gravel extraction site until 1992. The site is managed by the RSPB, which has looked after the lakes since 2007.
