Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service were called to Hursley Sports Club on Park Road shortly after 11pm on Saturday, August 8. Firefighters in breathing apparatus used hose reels, jets, an aerial ladder platform, water carriers and other specialist vehicles to stop the blaze spreading. The large fire took place at Hursley Sports Club at 11pm on Saturday, August 8. Hursley Sports and Social Club is a private members’ club within the grounds of Hursley Park. Membership is linked to people with a connection to the Hursley site, including IBM employees, retirees, contractors and Hursley residents.
