Alexander Adams, 30, from Holybourne, near Alton, will leave Winchester on September 12 to walk the Pilgrim’s Way to Canterbury, stopping at every Anglican church on route.
Alex said: "I’ve had this walk in mind for a long time but, understandably, hadn’t been able to act on it until now.
"The Pilgrim’s Way partially runs through Alton and Holybourne, so it’s always been in the background while growing up.
Alex was inspired to support the charity by his time teaching and the hidden struggles many children faced.
Mr Adams began fundraising at 16 by planning a charity concert and has since supported a range of causes.
