Avon and Somerset Police said the car struck the pedestrians in the Stokes Croft area of Bristol this morning (August 9) at 6.30am. The force said two people suffered non-serious injuries while a third suffered injuries which are also not believed to be as serious as initially thought. A man, believed to have been the driver of the vehicle, was treated for facial injuries and has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and dangerous driving. Damage was also caused to a business premises during the incident, which was reported to police on Sunday morning. Thomas Street, Hepburn Road, Stokes Croft, and City Road have been closed while officers made inquiries and drivers were urged to avoid the area.
