George Urry, of Aylett Close, Brading, appeared before the IW Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, August 4. The 30-year-old entered no plea to one count of causing serious injury by careless or inconsiderate driving. The female driver of the Ford suffered serious injuries and had to be freed from the vehicle after its roof was removed by firefighters. The driver of the Renault was also reported to have suffered serious injuries. At Tuesday's hearing, magistrates accepted jurisdiction to deal with the case, but Mr Urry elected for it to be heard at the IW Crown Court.
