New strikes and new demolitions were reported across southern Lebanon this weekend following last week’s talks in Rome. Three Lebanese soldiers were reported wounded over the weekend in an incident involving unexploded ordinance. Lebanese officials said this construction of a new barrier was in violation of the pilot zone agreement that Lebanon and Israel had previously reached. Two Lebanese civilians were also wounded overnight Sunday when an Israeli drone apparently malfunctioned over Kfar Roumine and slammed into their home. A machine gun fire sweep was also reported against Ali al-Taher, though no casualties were reported in that particular incident.
