Driver charged with impaired driving after OPP RIDE stop in Papineau-Cameron

A driver is facing an impaired driving charge after entering a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere spot check in Papineau-Cameron Township.
The driver was arrested and transported to the Mattawa OPP Detachment for further testing, according to police.
As a result of the investigation, Kenneth Hillman, 55, of Bracebridge, has been charged with Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
Impaired driving is a criminal offence that puts everyone at risk.
The OPP will continue conducting RIDE programs and targeted traffic enforcement to identify and remove impaired drivers from our roadways.
