Susan Stewart elected Rehoboth Beach mayor; Gossett, Saunders win commissioner seatsREHOBOTH BEACH, Del. — Voters in Rehoboth Beach have elected Susan Stewart as mayor, while Patrick Gossett and Mark Saunders won seats on the city’s Board of Commissioners. For the two commissioner seats, Saunders led all candidates with 852 votes, followed by Gossett with 813 votes. Of those, 624 cast ballots in person at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center, while another 474 voted by absentee or early ballot. Stewart, Gossett and Saunders are scheduled to be sworn in during the Rehoboth Beach Board of Commissioners meeting on Sept. 18.
