These words, featured in Anthony Bourdain’s autobiographical bestseller “Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly,” became the skeleton key with which co-writer/director Matt Johnson unlocked the culinary icon.
His new film “Tony” stars Dominic Sessa as the titular cook in a period of time before he picked up the apron — specifically, the aforementioned era when he needed to get his ass kicked (and don’t worry, he does).
