Yet, even in this sad reality, we are reminded why the vow “in sickness and in health” is spoken at the very start of building a home. In sickness and in health, families discover that love is stronger than suffering, and faith assures us that life continues beyond the grave. This is the hope that sustains us: our journey together does not end in death, but leads to eternity with Him.
