Strong policy frameworks, investment-ready projects and access to climate finance could support Turkmenistan's green transformation, the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) told Trend. "GGGI's global experience shows that successful green transformation is most effective when sound policy frameworks are tightly combined with investment-ready projects and robust access to climate finance," the organization said. According to GGGI, several practical approaches could be particularly relevant for Turkmenistan as it advances its sustainable development agenda. "For Turkmenistan, strengthening sustainable finance mechanisms, preparing bankable climate projects, and applying nature-based solutions for climate resilience could provide practical pathways for advancing sustainable development," the organization noted. The institute also plans to help mobilize climate finance and strengthen institutional capacity to implement sustainable development projects.
