Munoz didn’t manage to get on the scoresheet for Liverpool this afternoon, but his performance at Anfield met with positive reviews from a few of the media in attendance. Liverpool Echo writer Ian Doyle gave the Spaniard a 6/10 in his post-match player ratings, noting how ‘one piece of trickery soon got supporters onside’. Munoz will have another valuable week of training alongside his new teammates before Liverpool’s two matches against Como next Sunday, one of which will surely feature the Reds’ number 23. Even in terms of getting on the pitch at Anfield and forming an embroynic chemistry with his teammates, this afternoon’s runout will have done the World Cup winner plenty of good.
