Pitso Mosimane is set to make his return as Bafana Bafana head coach for a second spell. The South African Football Association (SAFA) approved his appointment during an Extraordinary Meeting on Saturday, 8 August 2026. “The South African Football Association’s (SAFA) National Executive Committee has approved the appointment of Pitso Mosimane as the new Bafana Bafana coach,” SAFA said. He previously guided Bafana Bafana between 2010 and 2012 before pursuing club opportunities. “The NEC has approved the appointment of coach Pitso to Bafana Bafana, but we still need to tie up some loose ends.
