Police are investigating after a man was found shot to death on the Canarsie Pier during the early hours of Sunday morning.
According to law enforcement sources, cops from the 69th Precinct received a 911 call reporting that a man had been shot at around 3:14 a.m. on the Belt Parkway and Rockaway Parkway.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a 30-year-old man riddled with gunshots throughout his body and head.
Police did not provide a description of the gunman, but cops say they believe some kind of dispute preceded the shooting.
According to the latest NYPD crime statistics, murders in the confines of the 69th Precinct are down by over 66% while the number of shooting victims are up by over 12%.
