KARACHI: Lawyer Jibran Nasir, representing the family of Mir Raza Ali, has said the latest forensic examination following the exhumation of the deceased’s body could help settle questions surrounding the circumstances of his death.
Speaking to the media after the exhumation, Nasir said the condition of the body allowed the medical board to obtain the necessary forensic material for further examination.
He said the investigation should now move beyond speculation and unverified claims, stressing that forensic evidence would be crucial in determining whether Mir Raza Ali died by suicide or was murdered.
Initial Medical FindingsSources familiar with the preliminary medical assessment said Mir Raza had suffered a gunshot wound to the back and that marks consistent with torture were also observed on his body.
