UNIVERSITY PARK — Penn State finished its spring practices with three healthy scholarship quarterbacks behind starter Rocco Becht. Listening to Campbell talk about redshirt freshman Alex Manske on Friday, it sounds like the 6-foot-3, 210-pounder is the future of the position at Penn State. Manske, a redshirt freshman who transferred from Iowa State to the Lions’ program after Campbell took the PSU job, has ideal size. Meeting with the Penn State media for the first time Friday, Manske acknowledged the months leading up to preseason camp were difficult. A healthy Manske looks like the top contender for the 2027 job at Penn State.
