Ringy has acquired Baltic refurbished electronics retailer UPGREAT in a deal backed by an undisclosed funding round led by Trind VC, creating a larger player focused on expanding the region’s circular electronics market.
“By joining forces with UPGREAT, we can strengthen that infrastructure across the Baltics and return significantly more electronics to productive use.”
“UPGREAT and Ringy share the same mission: to make refurbished electronics as natural a consumer choice as buying a pre-owned car,” said Kristjan Nemvalts, CEO of UPGREAT.
Refurbished electronics remain a single-digit share of the Baltic device market, according to Ringy’s estimates, leaving considerable room for growth.
“Having seen the successful collaboration between UPGREAT and Ringy over the past several years, we’re excited to see the two companies join forces.
