According to Newsweek, a lawsuit filed by seven women in California targets several major companies, including Procter & Gamble, which produces Tampax.
The plaintiffs reportedly claim that these companies sold products containing “forever chemicals,” also known as per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), as well as endocrine disruptors and carcinogens.
Newsweek also noted that a 2025 lawsuit specifically alleged that Tampax tampons contained unsafe amounts of lead that could enter the bloodstream.
