Saline Schools Limits High School Cellphone Use

Saline High School students will have less access to their cellphones during the school day this fall, but the Board of Education stopped short of requiring them to remain put away from bell to bell.
Board members spent much of the discussion deciding where to draw the line for high school students.

She said public health changes are rarely easy and argued that school restrictions could help families who want to delay or limit smartphone use.
Berwick noted that high school students do not have lockers, so administrators said phones will generally remain in backpacks when use is prohibited.
