Turkiye, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have signed a mutual defence pact in Mecca, in what analysts say could be a step towards a new security architecture in the region. Regional officials have suggested that the pact could eventually expand to include other countries, strengthening its role as a mechanism for collective security and deterrence.
