SCHUYLERVILLE, N.Y. — Saturday marked the 20th annual Hudson Crossing Park’s Cardboard Boat Races, with sailors of all ages trying their hand at crafting a vessel that will stay afloat. “Just seeing the surprises of who makes who doesn’t is one of the best (moments), but just seeing how the community rallies around everybody participating is absolutely the best,” Morse shares. “I have never seen anyone walk away from the cardboard boat races without a giant grin on their faces. The theme of this year’s event, ‘Wild Card-board Boat Races,’ was selected to celebrate the two decades of events, with participants able to draw inspiration from any of the previous themes when building their boats.
