John and June Marlin of Athens celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on July 21, 2026. “We got married on a Saturday and went back to work on Monday,” John said. I was working in Huntsville and shortly thereafter, June started working in Huntsville, too. “We had children almost immediately so then we just evolved or I guess we became habitual to each other,” John said. As for how they planned to celebrate their platinum anniversary, the Marlins decided to keep things simple.
