Super Smash Bros Melee icon Juan “Hungrybox” DeBiedma briefly fainted after winning a tense, last-stock Game 5 match at Supernova 2026, an event held in Baltimore, Maryland, from August 6 to 9. Hungrybox was competing in a Top 16 winners qualifying match against Ice Climbers player SluG. The set came down to the final stock in the final game, with Hungrybox securing the win to advance into the bracket. It marks the second time he has fainted following an intense post-match celebration, having previously passed out for around 10 seconds during a stream of East Coast Fridays, a weekly Melee tournament series, in February 2021. Supernova has produced plenty of memorable Hungrybox moments over the years.
