Sanaa — The Houthi group on Sunday claimed responsibility for targeting a refinery belonging to Saudi Aramco in the city of Jazan, southwestern Saudi Arabia, using a drone. Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree announced that the strike was carried out with a drone and resulted in a “precise hit.” Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Energy said firefighting teams had extinguished a blaze that broke out at a facility linked to the Aramco refinery in Jazan, noting that no injuries were reported. In recent weeks, the Houthis have intensified their attacks on oil facilities and tankers amid escalating security tensions in the region.
