Jac Caglianone had four extra-base hits, including two home runs to center, to lead the Kansas City Royals to a 6-3 win over the Chicago Cubs on Saturday, Aug. 8 at Kauffman Stadium. Caglianone put the Royals on the scoreboard with his first home run on a one-one pitch with two outs in the first. He would then double home Bobby Witt Jr in the third, and add a second double in the fifth. Seth Lugo got the win after a six-inning start, striking out five while allowing three runs on five hits and a walk. However, the Royals bullpen was able to limit the Cubs to two hits and two walks in the final frames, striking out another five.
