France mourns theatre dynast, 96 RIPnorman lebrecht August 09, 2026The death has been announced of Catherine Dasté, heir to the Jacques Copeau company and creator of theatre for young audiences. She married Graeme Allwright, a New Zealander who translated American protest songs into French with great success (after each album he would go wandering in Africa for a yesar to recover). One of their sons and a granddaughter are actors on the French stage.
