AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND / LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: Cameroonian Kiwi artist, producer and DJ Estère released her new single “Obsidian” on August 5. It carries her self-coined electric blue witch-hop signature, elastic harmonies, intricate rhythm and vintage texture into new, more intimate territory. Estère talks about how the song changed from its inception in Cameroon to its completion in London. When she isn’t making music herself, she teaches music production to women in countries where political conditions limit their access to education.
