Alioghlu died on Sunday morning, according to information confirmed by the Azerbaijan Writers’ Union, AzerNEWS reports, citing Azertag. Born in Fuzuli in 1944, Alioghlu devoted decades to Azerbaijani literature, poetry and publishing. He became a member of the Azerbaijan Writers’ Union in 1977 and was awarded the honorary title of Honoured Artist in 2005. Alioghlu was widely recognised as a poet and translator and made a significant contribution to Azerbaijani literary life.
