Kathmandu, August 9: Former Kapilvastu Municipality mayor and Nepali Congress leader Kiran Singh, who had been missing for three days, has been found dead. Singh’s body was found in the Gorusinge forest of Kapilvastu on Sunday, according to Superintendent of Police (SP) Manohar Bhatt, chief of the District Police Office, Kapilvastu. The motorcycle he was using, with registration number Lu Pra 01-013 Pa 7970, was found abandoned in a forest area about eight kilometres from the East-West Highway. The police had deployed trained sniffer dogs from Gautam Buddha International Airport to search for Singh. Singh was a former mayor of Kapilvastu Municipality and a local leader of the Nepali Congress.
