A Jamestown man incurred moderate injury when his vehicle went off a highway northeast of California on Friday, Aug. 7. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the 51-year-old was behind the wheel of a vehicle that was heading north on Route 87 about five miles north of California, when at around 3:45 p.m., his car went off the right side of the roadway north of Greenwood Drive. His car then struck an embankment and overturned. He was taken to a Columbia hospital.
