As expected, a line of strong to near-severe storms are moving eastward across southern Minnesota and northern Iowa this morning. Heavy rain and frequent lightning are occurring and can be expected to continue. Occasionally, one of these storms may flare up to severe strength with 1″ hail and damaging wind a possibility. However, severe storms will be the exception and not the rule. Storms will continue to progress to the east, dipping to the south through the morning hours.
