WARANGAL: CPI State Assistant Secretary Takkallapalli Srinivasa Rao on Sunday said that an uncompromising struggle for people’s issues remains the core objective of the Communist party. He said the CPI has been organising padayatras across the country to protest against the Centre’s “anti-people” policies. As part of this initiative, a padayatra was launched under the aegis of the CPI Warangal district committee from Pochamma Maidan in Warangal city. The padayatra, flagged off by Srinivasa Rao, passed through LB Nagar, Gorrekunta and Dharmaram before reaching Geesukonda. Addressing the gathering, Srinivasa Rao alleged that the BJP government at the Centre is weakening the federal structure and privatising public sector undertakings.
