“As soon as this fair is over, we’re already starting to look at next year’s fair,” says Wayne Hunnell, secretary of the Washington County Agricultural Fair Board. The primetime grandstand event on the first evening of the fair (Saturday, August 15) is the demolition derby, which always draws the biggest fair crowds. The Washington County Fair hasn’t had a monster truck show in recent years due to logistical concerns, but the fair board is excited to bring them back this year.
