Adam Wilcox, landlord of The Spire & Vine on King Street, has revealed fresh plans for the pub’s garden. Before reopening, Mr Wilcox and Kyle Lockely, who manages The Swan, carried out extensive interior renovations, with little of the old remaining, but his plans now focus on outdoor improvements. He also plans to add electric and gas heaters to the current seating and said live music could soon feature at the pub on Saturday afternoons from 5pm. Mr Wilcox added: "Now obviously we don't want to be causing noise pollution and issues with the neighbours, so we're not doing it in the evening; we're going to do it at 5 o'clock, which I think's fair," he added. He added that once staff are fully trained, The Spire & Vine will expand its cocktail menu, and further down the line, guest rooms and a function space may be introduced later in the year.
