Wayne Wood, 43, of Friars Street in Hereford, stole the devices from The Phone Box in Maylord Orchards on January 20, 2026. He also assaulted a police officer on December 4, 2025, the court heard. He appeared at Hereford Magistrates Court on August 3 and, after changing his plea from not guilty to guilty, was fined £90 for the phone theft and £162 for assaulting the police officer. For assaulting the police officer, he was ordered to pay £50 compensation. At the hearing, Wood was represented by Lawson Day, while Paul John appeared for the prosection.
