Long delays as police close M4 after crash

Westbound traffic heading from junction 14 of the M4 at Hungerford towards junction 15 at Swindon was stopped by police at around 7am on Sunday, August 9, following a crash on the motorway.
Wiltshire Police said the incident involved two vehicles and took place between Swindon and Membury Services.
Traffic was held for around an hour before one lane was opened at around 8am, National Highways confirmed.
Shortly before 9am, this recovery was completed and all lanes on the M4 westbound towards Swindon were reopened.
A National Highways spokesperson added: “On the M4 westbound between junction 14, Hungerford, and junction 15, Swindon, all lanes have reopened following a collision.
