Andy Edwards, from Warrington, has committed to running 100 miles across 10 official events throughout the year to help raise funds for Adoption Matters.
The charity finds families for children waiting to be adopted and provides long-term support to those families.
Mr Edwards said: "I’m running in aid of Adoption Matters because, as adopters ourselves, my wife and I know first-hand the incredible support they provide throughout the adoption journey.
Annie O’Neill, fundraising and relationship manager at Adoption Matters, said: "Everyone at Adoption Matters is so inspired by supporters who go the extra mile — or in Andy’s case, a hundred!
Adoption Matters is one of the UK’s largest voluntary adoption agencies.
