Police and firefighters were called to the collision on the A168 at Sowerby, near Thirsk, at 5.30pm on Saturday (August 8). Everyone was out of the vehicle when firefighters arrived, North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said. The fire service said its three crews made the vehicles safe after the crash. In a statement, the fire service said: “Crews from Richmond, Knaresborough and Ripon responded to a report of a two-vehicle road traffic collision. “Crews made the vehicle safe and left the incident in the hands of police.”
