Keswick Mountain Rescue Team responded to the call just after 12.45pm and, due to low team numbers and the challenging location, requested help from Penrith Mountain Rescue Team and the Maritime and Coastguard Agency’s Rescue Helicopter 897, based at Carlisle. The operation involved 13 members from Keswick MRT and five from Penrith MRT, with the Penrith team on the scene for around 90 minutes.
