Thousands of indecent images of children, a joiner and serviceman caught drink-driving, and a “vile” racist outburst feature in this week’s Inverness court round-up.

A 35-year-old man who began amassing indecent images when he was 15 has been jailed.
Nathaniel Maclean-Black was involved in uploading over 200,000 indecent images to a secure cloud, and in distributing material at Distillery Access Road, Tomatin.
Officers who stopped 20-year-old James Nicol on the city’s Kenneth Street observed reddening around his eyes and smelled cannabis within his car, Inverness Sheriff Court heard.
