Maggie Wheeler, from Leeway’s board of trustees, said: "Leeway has had some exciting changes over the past few years, with the appointment of a new chief executive and adding new members to the Board of Trustees.
Due to the nature of Leeway’s work, the role is only open to women.
The role of chair is a two-year term, which is renewable once.
The board of trustees meet in person around eight times every year and support the organisation on a voluntary basis, although reasonable expenses are offered.
The closing date for applications is Friday, August 28, with interviews to be arranged shortly afterwards.
