Adam Shepherd won the first TCR UK race of the weekend at Donington Park on his TCR UK return, beating points leader Callum Newsham who came home in second place. Shepherd made a mistake at the end of lap two which allowed JH Racing driver Newsham past into the lead. Bloor meanwhile started to recover ground after his poor start and made his way past Carl Boardley for fourth place on lap eight. Bloor managed to pass championship leader Newsham for second place with two laps left of the race. Shepherd won the race by close to 2.5 seconds over points leader Newsham.
