Srinagar Police Arrest Habitual Fraudster Accused Of Duping Traders

SRINAGAR: Srinagar Police have arrested a man accused of allegedly defrauding several businessmen and shopkeepers through fraudulent means and impersonation, officials said on Sunday.
The accused has been identified as Ubaid Maqbool Khawaja, son of Maqbool Ahmad Khawaja, a resident of Gomal Chek in Tangdar and presently residing at Habib Colony, Alochi Bagh.
45/2026 registered at Police Station Mahraj Gunj under Sections 318(4) and 319 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
According to police, multiple complaints have been received against the accused from different parts of the Valley.
Police further said the accused had previously been detained under the Public Safety Act (PSA) over his alleged continued involvement in criminal activities.
