QUETTA – Pakistani security forces are intensifying their hunt for militants across Balochistan, striking terrorist hideouts in a series of intelligence-led operations that have left 15 militants dead in the mountainous region. A substantial cache of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the militants killed during the operations, the sources said. Security forces also cleared an area covering 68 square kilometres during those operations. The counterterrorism campaign also expanded beyond Balochistan, with security forces stepping up intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Civil, military leaders praised security forces after the latest operations in Balochistan, commending their professional capabilities and success in eliminating 15 Khawarij militants.
