Newton girls tennis coach Eric Zehr says his players are enjoying the new tennis courts they get to practice and play on at Aurora Heights Park. The Newton girls and boys tennis teams both use the courts for practice and meets. “Jared and I, we get kids out as freshmen and sophomores, and we have two to three years to build them into tennis players before they graduate. That’s really great for building community tennis players and teaching them how to play a phenomenal lifelong game. The boys tennis season takes place in the spring, with meets beginning in mid-April.
